Another semester here at Georgetown has arrived, and my heart is so happy to return to campus! For as long as I can remember, one of my favorite things has been the prep before new classes while the weather grows cooler and students return to the Hilltop.
The coffee is hot, the books are splendid (and EXPENSIVE!) and my classes (as always) out of this world. I have a few classes this semester with professors who constantly challenge me to be better and try harder. Their kindness, wealth of knowledge and instruction force me to not only examine the world around me in different ways, but to also turn that attention inward and ask myself the "hard" questions. It is a wild thing, this time of life. Especially living in this part of the country as the world I have known shifts and changes.
Frankly, I'm a quite cautious about what I share online about my time here at school. For as many kind, wonderful and supportive folks as there are out there...there are also some crazy, dangerous and scary ones. That being said, I realized after taking this latest "social media hiatus" how little I truly DO share of this incredible experience...and it is my HOPE to do a wee bit better over the coming semester.
No promises though ;)
Lots of love to you all, and happy back-to-school!
xoxo
